Hello everyone, hope you’re staying healthy and enjoying the nicer weather. Here’s a couple pieces of information for current and future events.
First is the General Membership Meeting taking place via Zoom on June 3rd, 2021 @ 1830. A link to the meeting will be on the Facebook post for it.
The second is contract arbitration. We are awaiting the Arbitrator’s decision for the case that was filed when Allina stopped contributing to our 401k accounts. There are approximately 10 days left in that timeline so a decision should be made soon. Once that is resolved, we will move on to the Contract case. President Hopper anticipates this to be around July, 2021.
Finally, if you had not already heard, SEIU Healthcare and Allina Health recently reached a tentative agreement to avoid a strike. There will not be any picketing next week. It’s too early to tell if this agreement will have any impact on our arbitration case.
